Martinos researchers honored with Distinguished Investigator Awards at RSNA

December 4, 2014

Martinos Center scientists were among the recipients of the Distinguished Investigator Award from the Academy of Radiology Research, given at the 100th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) held in Chicago this week.

Umar Mahmood and Anna Moore joined 44 others in accepting the award, which recognizes accomplishments in medical imaging.

“The recipients of this Award have made significant contributions to the field of imaging research and are in the top 10% of Radiology Department faculty nationwide,” Stanley Baum, MD, the Chair of the Academy’s Distinguished Investigator Workgroup, said in a statement. To be considered for the award, researchers must meet specific criteria, including at least 25 peer-reviewed research papers on which they are first or senior author and at least six cumulative years of funding as principal investigator of a major research grant.

Congratulations to Drs. Mahmood and Moore!
